Springhouse produces 2000 cases of hand-crafted wine each year with fruit sourced from select vineyards in the Columbia River Gorge, most within 10 miles of the winery.  We invite you to stop by the tasting room to sample our creations daily from noon to 6pm (closed Mondays November thru March).

 

We are also happy to ship most anywhere in the continental United States.  These states prohibit wine direct from wineries:  Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Utah.

2015 Albarino

A rare and unique Spanish varietal, most coveted for its marriage of ripe nectarines and subtle hints of black pepper and steel. Beautifully bright acidity begs for a summer night by the BBQ. Keep it simple with a well-marbled rib eye and grilled garden veggies.

2015 Pinot Gris

An essential summer wine, this classic Gris is platinum in the glass and perfectly balanced on your palate. Gaining richness from marzipan, you’ll also notice the heady aroma of a sunny English garden, green leaves and phlox blossom. Exceptionally good with seafood, we would be equally happy with a bottle and a bowl of blueberries in our favorite shady spot.

2015 Sauvignon Blanc

Going on a picnic? Grab a bottle of this for your spread! Our winemaker’s experience in New Zealand granted him the knack for making kiwi style SB. With green grass both on the nose and on the palate, open a bottle with your cheese and charcuterie plate. We like it chilled with a cold turkey sammy!

2015 Chardonnay

Fruit from the warm Garnier vineyard and cooler Acadia vineyard blend perfectly to create this gracefully structured Chardonnay. Fermentation in stainless steel as well as neutral and new oak gives this seasonless stunner balance of crispness and warmth, offering the notes of baking spices and vanilla bean. Drink now with eggplant parm and then head into autumn, pairing it with your favorite holiday meal.

2012 Pinot Noir

50% whole cluster Pinot Noir was foot-treaded until the cap fell. Half the fruit is Dijon clone from Pear Blossom; the other half Pommard from Garnier. Old-school winemaking retains a raspberry core that is a hallmark of Gorge Pinot Noir.

2013 Grenache

It’s rare to find Grenache by itself these days.  We aim to change that. Fruit sourced from two local vineyards. Dominated by lush, red cola with a bright, focused acid backbone.  Open this when you fire up the grill.

2012 Sangiovese

Amazing Walla Walla fruit. Medium bodied, cherry cola and fruit leather. Pair this with abbacchio, pizza, salsa crude, hard cheeses, cured meats, olives, tomatoes, garlic, rosemary, lemons, capers… it’s an Italian staple.

2013 Ruins Red

Made in a Super Tuscan style combining the  depth and texture of Bordeaux fruit with the food friendly acidity and fragrance of a Chianti. Balanced, ready to pair with pasta, paella or  your favorite cheese and charcuterie board.

One of our most popular wines year after year.  This is our go-to for ribs, bucatini with bolognese and brussels sprouts roasted with pancetta.  Bright red fruit with old-world leather.

2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes of Cassis nestled in a deep earthy body. Perfect with prime-rib, of course. Equally delicious with grilled lamb burgers and Cascade Creamery’s Glacier Blue. This is a bottle to stash until 2020.

2012 Centennial

Our reserve cuvee (exactly 100 cases)  celebrates the 100th birthday of our building. Almost 85% Cabernet Franc balanced with Merlot and Petite Verdot, this should develop well in the 2020’s.
